Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain is a place to experience world-class luxury hospitality, blended with Arabian tradition and touch of Swiss that makes the guests feel home in one of the most attractive and friendly destinations in the Gulf Region.

The client brief is to design a rich hospitable and elegant space infused with refreshing and bright interiors which delivers a unique, social experience set within a private garden-like environment.

This being a renovation project was important for us to look back on the history of Mövenpick. We were inspired by Swiss hotelier and founder, Ueli Prager’s observation of seagulls swooping for food over Lake Zurich. He felt the image described the nature of his restaurant, designed to offer high-quality lunchtime food for city people in a hurry. Based on the German word for seagull - Möwe - Mövenpick means literally "picking seagull".
