The Courtyard by Marriott brand is changing to be relevant to a new type of traveller.

In the design, we captured the essence of the hotel’s location, Jubail with the industrial nature of the town in mind to create a lifestyle-driven atmosphere for everyday business travellers. We built the concept around the Courtyard brand as a smart and dynamic hotel that provides guests who make the most of their time on the road to “Make room for a little fun”.

Jubail is well-known for its history of fishing and pearl gathering which goes back to the 11th century. This heritage is integrated in the concept design through several motifs like patterned carpets and furniture. Sand-like and neutral hues provide a bright canvas to these references, highlighted by the natural wood panels which create an easy-going yet sophisticated ambiance throughout the hotel spaces.
