Kingdom of Bahrain is making strides towards eco-tourism with the announcement of A Mantis Collection - Hawar Island Hotel & Resort.

IDA was asked to design a luxurious eco-resort in Hawar Island, an archipelago situated in the Southeast of Bahrain, rich in diverse and rare wildlife. The island is one of the most biodiverse parts of Bahrain, home to sand Gazelles, Arabian Oryx, multicolored coral reefs, endangered Dugong and various migratory birds, particularly Socotra Cormorants.

The idyllic location is the main design inspiration in the creation of a natural habitat resort balanced with nature and outdoor adventures. Bahrain, as a country of rich culture, crafts and hospitality are also reflected in the design concept. The interior design will provide an unforgettable experience for each guest with opportunity to indulge in nature. Holistic simplicity is woven through the fabric and sustainable materials are used that carefully crafted a natural and relaxing ambience, enhanced by the views of the gracious desert and ocean, creating a true paradise away from home.
